As the son of a drag racer, Derick’s love for racing and motorsports began at an early age. As soon as he could drive, Derick found himself racing everything from stock cars to drag bikes to monster trucks. He also remembers countless hours building Hot Wheels tracks and racing the toy cars in his backyard with neighborhood friends. The combination of driving a monster truck and doing it for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is a perfect mix of his background and passions.
